"Do you smell carrot?"

Not a huge update here, but given that my last 'update' was in April last year, it might make sense to post something, at least. Since that last journal went up, I've graduated from university, completed a post-graduate teaching qualification at Oxford and moved to Australia (albeit temporarily...probably). Not too much, then, but hopefully it provides a marginal excuse as to why I haven't been on the site for a while.

I'm actually going to put some new pictures up over the next couple of weeks too. I actually got my arse in gear and went backpacking this summer just gone, exploring Italy and Greece with some friends, and got some shiny new pictures with my equally shiny new 450D. Also playing with a not-shiny-but-quite-practical copy of Photoshop CS4, so I've got my fingers crossed for some fun playing with RAW images of the upcoming New Year's fireworks display in Sydney.

Anyway - to those of you that commented and/or faved my stuff while I haven't been around, it's much appreciated - just understand that I'm not going to be responding to comments left two months ag . I'm gonna start working through the glut of messages and journals in my inbox.

One last thing - and I'm quite pleased about this - I've also had my photography printed in the largest construction magazine in Canada. Fairly random, but they got in touch after seeing some stuff on Flickr and wanted to use it in an article they were running. Turned out to be a full-page print too, which was pretty special. I've got no idea of the readership of the magazine, but I'm still pretty chuffed to be an officially professionally printed photographer now!
